The Democrats have always been the "populist" party, at least in the last 40 years. However, there is a difference between populism and just sheer demagoguery.
How can in the world can Obama continue to get away with this nonsense about giving a tax cut to 95% of the taxpayers? As you can see from this graph, the top 1% paid 39% of taxes!
Why doesn't someone in the media challenge his figures? It makes you wonder!
