Pres BO needs to announce major spending cuts!

Pres BO delivers the annual State of the Union message tonight.

Like other speeches before, it won't last long!

However, we need something a little different this time.

Tonight, Pres BO must announce major cuts and go after entitlements:

1) Freeze spending.  We need to return spending levels to 2008 levels, or a deficit of 5% of GDP.

2) Raise the Social Security retirement age and revive the Bush reforms of 2005.

It means that the baby boomers will have to wait a bit longer for their benefits and young workers will have some options beyond Social Security.

Social Security and Medicare are unsustainable.  What's the point of postponing this debate any longer?

3) Pres BO needs to speak frankly and specifically about our spending problems.  We can't continue to run these deficits and keep our prosperity or protect the integrity of the US dollar.

4) Pres BO needs to remember that small businesses create jobs and most vulnerable to all of his regulations.  Can you say BO-Care or EPA?

5) Cut all US funding of the UN.  Frankly, we should have done it years ago, specially after the corrupt "Oil for Food" scandal exploded a few years ago.  What is the point of the UN in 2011?

Last, but not least, I don't want to hear a long speech about "civility"!

Frankly, I'm bored with all of this talk about "getting along".

I would rather hear a proposal about cutting spending and encouraging businesses to hire people.
